Visit our country home in the Benasuqe Valley
House Muria’s Holly Tree is an old XVIIIth century farmhouse in the Pyrenees, located on the way to Coll de Fadas and near to the N260 axis of the Pyrenees. From this privileged location, you will enjoy its incomparable 360º views.
From one side of the rural house, you will be able to admire the immensity of Benasque Valley, with its fascinating mountains such as El Posets and El Gallinero. From the other, you will love the exceptional views of an amazing high mountain forest. And in our gardens, which originally were three terraces facing south, you could relax in its fabulous solarium, even on winter days, enjoying its extraordinary views.
The outdoor garden owes much to the valuable contribution of the sculptor Vicente García Plana, who has created a new concept in the Huesca Pyrenees (Land Art). His work consists of groups of sculptures with appealing names such as “Los Yunques de las Nubes de Renanué” and “Los Espanta Brujas Moviles de Renanué”.
We have carefully restored this lovely country home, keeping its spirit and personality intact.
We have maintained its original name, numbered every stone, rebuilt the Arab tiles and the three chimneys with the typical style of the Aragonese Pyrenees. Each of them holds a figure, which was traditionally used to ward off evil spirits. The wood has been carefully crafted, and we take close care of the unusual 8m high holly tree guarding the façade for more than a hundred years.
All this has been a long but challenging and beautiful project for us, always working full of enthusiasm to be able to provide you with this enchanting spot.
